Manager, HR Business Partner Rayong Manufacturing Plant

Directly reporting to the Director HRBP GPSC APAC, matrix report to the Manufacturing Managing Director, Rayong manufacturing plant and support global function teams who base internal and outside of Thailand. The role partners with the Rayong and functional leaders in aligning business objectives with developing and implementing strategies and design plans focused on human capital management, employee engagement and people performance.
Job Description
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and work closely with HR Operation team to develop procedures, policies across the organization
- Effectively balances business partner responsibility with employee advocacy, fosters a positive culture and high performing work environment
- Demonstrates a relentless approach to talent: a) Strategic workforce planning b) Talent planning and succession planning c) Capability gap assessments d) Organizational design and structure
- Champions talent development and movements to build organization overall capabilities and bench strength
- Serves as a change agent and curator of culture
- Collaborates with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to execute enterprise-wide programs and solutions that advance the business
- Develops and implements plans and actions to improve employee engagement and leadership effectiveness
- Supports leaders as strategist, coach, change agent, curator of culture and architect
- Partner with assigned business leaders and HR teams to set both long-term and short-term organization strategy and implement strategic HR initiatives to ensure the effectiveness of the organization
- Develop communication plans and actions to improve employee engagement and manager effectiveness, and foster inclusion
- Influence and support country leaders and local leadership team in making key people or HR related decisions
- Participants and influence decision making on hiring of key positions and talents
- Influence and directs implementation of compensation and benefits programs that provide a competitive level of pay, motivation, and reward to employees
- Work closely with Regional HR team and establish strong network and ties with HR team
- Lead and participate in local and regional HR initiatives/projects as required
- Advises managers in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances
- Responsible for building positive relationships with employees, developing union management strategy and ensure of effective execution and handle labor case with legal and compliance partners
- Willing to take challenging work assignment and cross functional team /cross country project
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or related discipline is required
- A minimum of ten years of related business partnering experience is required
- Previous experience working with unionized company is a required
- At least five years experience working at a manufacturing site
- Previous experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry is a plus
- Previous experience working with unionized company is a plus
- Previous experience to manage talent planning, career development , talent development is advantageous.
- Must be able to demonstrate project management, time management, priority management, planning and coordination, multi-tasking skills and attention to details
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing competing priorities and fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work as individual contributor and independently with a high level of discretion and confidentiality required
- Strong computer skills and experience
- Demonstrate sense of urgency, learning agile and willing to take challenging works
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to develop working relationships with cross functional teams and understanding leaders and employee needs
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Knowledge of Thai labor law
- Native Thai and excellent command of business English (verbal and written)
