Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking a Territory Manager, Surgical to join the Cardinal Clinical Product Sales team on a full-time basis. Located in Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta, this is a field/ work from home opportunity.

This role will be responsible to uncover and drive sales for the Cardinal Health Surgical portfolio of products in the Acute Care Hospital Market in Alberta. The focus will be on prospecting, driving new business, driving contract compliance, and building relationships while maintaining high customer satisfaction with influencers in the surgical market place.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify key Surgical Cardinal Brand opportunities within the designated territory and maintain a strong and robust sales funnel.

  • Implement strategies and tactics to achieve both short and long-term sales objectives.

  • Work collaboratively marketing and sales teams including Acute Distribution and other Cardinal Health sales teams as required to develop and offer a full Cardinal Health solution to the target audience.

  • Leverage Clinical Support team when appropriate to advance opportunities.

  • Lead and close new sales opportunities by coordinating sales support activities with various departments including Contracts, Operations, Marketing, etc. Work collectively with these departments to drive project and deals through. This may include putting together conference calls, leading all customer related activity, and holding others accountable for deliverables that impact strategies and projects for our customers.

  • Develop and maintain complete product knowledge and serve as an added value to our customer base to distinguish Cardinal Health from its competitors.

  • Forecast, track, and manage sales opportunities both monthly and quarterly to achieve targets.

  • Strong knowledge of standards of practice, governing bodies such as public health and accreditation practices.

  • Budget, forecast, track, develop, and enhance territory profitability.

  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures when required

  • Maintain current and develop new or improved relationships with client base to enhance the company’s image and promote Cardinal Health's vision and values.

  • Work on complex projects of large scope as required to support customers or strategic priorities as set by Cardinal Health stakeholders.

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems; Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives.

  • Strong ability to work independently while receiving general guidance on new projects

  • Willingness to develop and gain new skills

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • Ability to travel as required for customer interactions, tradeshows, and internal meetings

EDUCATION/TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 4 years of previous selling, clinical and/or business experience in the Canadian healthcare market including a strong understanding or knowledge base of Alberta Health Services and Health Pro contracting services.

  • A strong sales background with a track record of successfully closing new businesses and demonstrating an entrepreneur mindset

  • A strong clinical background/understanding of the OR environment. Preference will be given to those that have previous clinical experience in Acute Care/Operating Room environments. RN or equivalent Acute Care experience/knowledge preferred

  • Proven product knowledge in business area and ability to learn and adapt.

  • Ability to utilize and learn technology systems to manage the territory
