As the Inside Sales Representative, you will take charge of lead qualification and sales conversion initiatives for both new and repeat business. You will be instrumental in realizing our revenue growth objectives by effectively generating leads, qualifying prospects, and closing sales. This role requires close collaboration with our Field teams and channel partners to ensure seamless coordination in achieving sales targets.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Proactively prospect and cultivate new business opportunities through channels such as email, LinkedIn, targeted outbound calls, and various sales outreach tools. Leverage existing client databases for additional sales opportunities.
  • Utilize sales planning tools and a streamlined pipeline management process to achieve business objectives and goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on competitor and industry activities, staying informed about new products/services, and incorporating this information into the business plan.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan while building and maintaining a robust book of business.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for calls, emails, and total connections.
  • Qualify business opportunities for sophisticated Life Sciences companies.
  • Schedule meetings with prospects and companies that align with a target profile.
  • Record detailed notes in Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM) for enhanced team collaboration and data tracking.
  • Collaborate effectively with district and national colleagues for outreach and support initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and platforms to enhance outreach strategies.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

  • Remote position with the flexibility to be based in: Raleigh, NC; Washington, DC/Baltimore, MD; New Jersey; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA.
  • Coverage: Responsible for customers in the East Coast District (inside sales role).
  • Occasional travel to meetings, conferences, and customer sites.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING US

  • 4+ years’ experience in life sciences ideally in a customer-facing role (field support, customer service, technical support, inside sales) with a focus in genomics (ideally NGS).
  • Knowledge and competence in the major elements of inside sales including cold calling, business development, customer qualification, and customer acquisition.
  • Familiarity with various sales enablement tools (e.g., Zoominfo, Zymewire, Sales Navigator, Saleshandy).
  • Experience in creating outreach campaigns and implementing nurturing workflows.
  • Superior sales planning and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills to include proficiency in all Microsoft programs.
  • Self-motivated with superior problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Goal oriented; Effectively prioritize sales efforts and activities.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills are essential.

WHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKE

  • Bachelor’s degree in, Business, Life Sciences or other related field OR at least 2 years of telephone B2B sales experience.

The base salary range for this position is $80-120K*

  • This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Sales Compensation Plan
