As the Regional Sales Manager (individual contributor), you will be responsible for leading regional sale activities for Complete Genomics' products including sequencing instruments, lab automation instruments, reagents, software or solutions in the US South Central region.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • You will be driving revenue growth of Complete Genomics product portfolios, delivering results, developing sales strategies and tactics that achieve the revenue goals of the region. Complete Genomics' products enable full NGS workflow solutions centered on proprietary DNBSEQ technologies.
  • Drive sales and market penetration for stereo-seq, an innovative and in-demand spatial transcriptomics kit-based solution.
  • Develop sales strategy, prospects and close sales deals for all accounts in assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed Complete Genomics' product sales goals for assigned territory.
  • Update manage salesforce.com account information database per internal process.
  • Identify, interpret, and respond to customers’ requirements. Promote Complete Genomics product solutions to meet customers’ requirements.
  • Schedule and conduct product demonstrations to customers with detailed product knowledge and presenting the product first-hand.
  • Create and implement strategies and tactical plans in line with the corporate, regional and territory goals.
  • Drive visibility and accountability through improved sales pipeline and forecast management processes; leverage modern sales tools like Salesforce, etc.
  • Build customer relationships in assigned territory. Cultivate and maintain partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) in the territory.
  • Provide feedback to Product/Marketing team about customer needs, competitive landscape and marketing strategy to improve competitiveness of Complete Genomics products.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING US

  • 3+ years overall sales experience in the Next Generation Sequencing sales (not pharmaceutical or genetic testing sales) OR 5+ years as a NGS Field Application Scientist with extensive pre-sales experience.
  • Must have experience selling NGS solutions (library kits, services).
  • Experience in sales of NGS instruments or life science CapEx is strongly preferred.
  • A self-starting leader who is motivated by individual and team success.
  • Excellent sales skills (cold calls, deal-closing etc.), team (tele-sales, pre-sales, services partners, support, marketing) work, “Hunter” mentality, etc.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities while being detail and schedule oriented.
  • Must be able and willing to travel 40% of the time within the territory.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or equivalent required.

WHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry/Physical Sciences; Graduate degrees are preferred.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

  • Based in US South Central Region.
  • Coverage extends to Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $150,000 DOE.
