The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Country Head of our Argentina office, as the Associate Director, Public Health & Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction in developing Market Access, Pricing, Value Proposition and Government Affairs matters, as well as evidence generation policies, for the company portfolio with the goal to maximize product value in LATAM. You will drive an influenza policy agenda, building strong stakeholder networks and leading broad policy engagement based on shared public health interests. You will also be responsible for identifying strategic policy risks and opportunities, and providing analysis, insights and recommended strategies to Seqirus teams. You will play a crucial part in developing strategies that align with the company's business objectives throughout the portfolio's development, launch, and life cycle management phases. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid
The Role:
- Builds strong relationships, networks and alliances with policy stakeholders including parliamentarians, government agencies, coalitions, academics, KOLs and advocacy groups.
- Works cross functionally with brand teams and other key stakeholders to develop value propositions for CSL products. Leads the development of relevant submissions, position papers and policy materials tailored to the local environment, facilitating input from internal experts.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with health economic opinion leaders, reimbursement agencies, and healthcare groups.
- Generates and communicates information on product efficacy, health economics and value propositions to demonstrate advantages of CSL products.
- Monitors external environment, customers and competitors to understand market conditions and bring insights in to build strategy around opportunities to improve value capture.
- Evaluates pricing and market access risks and builds recommendations and strategies to address.
- Drives an influenza policy agenda within major trade bodies, leading influenza working groups and coordinating cross-functional participation as required.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Medical, Regulatory, Marketing, and Business Operations teams to develop value propositions for company products. Collaborates with the Communications team to amplify policy messaging and contribute content for use in Seqirus-owned internal and external platforms and channels.
- Contributes to the global policy and government affairs strategies, participating in global team meetings and ensuring collaboration and alignment within Seqirus and CSL policy teams.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences or healthcare discipline; MBA preferred.
- Fluency in English, to include fluid written, reading and speaking abilities, is required.
- 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Market Access, Sales, and/or Marketing, Business Development, Government Affairs or Policy, or experience from working in Health Ministry or Public Institutions.
- Vaccines experience highly regarded. Deep knowledge and nuanced understanding of the global and regional vaccines landscape and related political affairs, the healthcare environment in LATAM.
- Well-established stakeholder relationships and networks with key decision makers, opinion leaders and advocacy groups in the vaccines community in LATAM.
- Knowledge of LATAM healthcare system, with a clear understanding of different access pathways in the markets.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Adhere to ethical practices and comply fully with regulatory, legal, and industry codes of conduct.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on strong oral and written presentation abilities.
- Strategic view, proactiveness, and self-motivation are essential.
