The Area Manager for Immunology Québec Atlantic is responsible for the promotion of CSL Behring's Immunology product portfolio and for all aspects of territory business development. The principal assignment will be the promotion of Hizentra (Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin (Human) for people living with Immunodeficiency and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy in hospitals across major cities in Greater Montréal and surrounding areas (approximately 85% of time) and secondarily in the Atlantic provinces (approximately 15% of time). The mix of products promoted could be subject to change as market dynamics and needs evolve.


In their assigned geography, the person will be responsible for achieving product market objectives and sales targets for their portfolio by developing and implementing a regional business plan aligned with the product strategic plans. The selected candidate will be expected to provide on-label promotional in-services to Health-Care Professionals responsible for treating patients living with Immunodeficiency and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. In this function, he/she will be the key contact for the company among key customers and collaborate closely with medical, patient-support services, marketing and patient groups to drive on-label use of Hizentra. Other responsibilities include; managing and monitoring plan spending according to the approved budget, territory analysis levering various sources of data, leading interactions with local chapters of Patient Groups in coordination with Market Access and Marketing, attending conferences, daily input in the CRM system.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that: (1) HCPs are proposing Hizentra to patients that fit the eligibility for therapy according to the product monograph, (2) HCPs including physicians, nurses and blood bank staff are well-informed on the features and benefits for Hizentra and how it fits within their current treatment algorithm, (3) support is provided in order to ensure that patients who have been prescribed Hizentra are then trained on self-administering the product
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing/new key stakeholders who treat patients who require Immunoglobulin therapy. This includes external clients in the assigned area, such as physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups.
  • Represent CSL Behring and CSL Behring therapeutic solutions in order to achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Increase awareness about CSL Behring and our therapeutic solutions. This will be achieved by regular face to face meetings, organizing activities with the HCPs and organizing other learning activities.
  • Organize and implement presentations at local scientific congresses/CME/OLA or conferences and retain expert speakers as appropriate.
  • Develop a detailed territory action plan that include budget requirement. Manage and monitor spending according to the approved budget. Provide field/market intelligence to the cross-functional team and contribute to inform and shape the local strategy.
  • Evaluate requests for Commercial Sponsorships as appropriate and submit for approval to the Director Sales.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing product information; establishing personal networks. Expected to appropriately respond to all questions and objections raised by customers.
  • Plan and organize a work schedule for assigned area in order to maximize productivity.
  • This includes but not limited to:
    • -completion of all administrative reports
    • -maintenance of client files and update territory action plan
    • -Input interaction in our CRM system on a timely basis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a scientific or business field
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, in a specialty/hospital sales environment, biotechnology or specialized pharma.
  • Preference for prior experience with selling in a specialty/hospital setting in rare diseases, hemato-oncology and/or neurology.
  • Preference for prior experience in key account management and networking selling.
  • Demonstrated success with field sales and market share growth
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and regulations
  • Valid Canadian driver's license with ability to travel for work
