Job Scope

The Project Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that the Project Management Office operates at peak efficiency by performing a variety of administrative, support and project coordination activities. They are responsible for maintaining resource, schedule, budget, and other relevant project status data in the portfolio management tool. They work closely with PMO team members to create comprehensive action plans and help organize and communicate details of projects and specific assignments to team members. They oversee the day-to-day progression of the project, as well as create reports and updates for the PMO team and the wider organization.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collect and enter resource, budget and other data into portfolio management system
  • Analyze and translate data into visual illustrations such as charts, graphs, diagrams and draw conclusions to make recommendations for business decisions
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and assist with preparation of presentations and project status reports
  • Assist with development and implementation of PMO tools and departmental procedures
  • Provide operational support to the PMO by coordinating across project schedules and communicating cross-project information with the larger team
  • Help program managers with planning, scheduling and risk management to ensure projects are completed in a consistent and predictable manner.
  • Develop work breakdown structures and monitor, track and prioritize deliverables to support smooth and efficient project execution
  • Understand and maintain formal training compliance within time requirements
  • Perform work in a safe manner consistent with DiaSorin’s health, safety and environmental policies and assume responsibility for self and others to drive a safe workplace
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Science or Engineering or Business required
  • 1+ Years Project coordinator for business, lean or technical projects
  • Proficiency in data entry and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially excel (High proficiency)
  • Strong technical aptitude to learn and master company specific tools and programs (High proficiency)
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills (High proficiency)
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy (High proficiency)
  • Strong organizational skills required for collaboration with multiple groups (High proficiency)
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (High proficiency)
  • Self-starter and team player, with excellent work ethics and high quality standards (High proficiency)
  • Familiarity with Project Management principles desirable (Low proficiency)
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in oral, written, and graphic form. (Medium proficiency)
  • Experience with Portfolio/Project Management Software and/or Power BI desirable (Medium proficiency)

Travel Requirements

  • 5% Domestic Travel
