Job Scope:

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports as directed.

What you will be doing:

  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Complete month end procedures as assigned, including but not limited to journal entry preparation/review and account reconciliation/analysis.
  • Assist in intercompany process including analysis and preparation of monthly invoices, and booking of intercompany transactions.
  • Assist with stock plan administration duties including semi-annual ESPP, option exercises, restricted stock releases, maintaining the database, preparing reports, and performing analysis.
  • Management of Intangible Asset accounts, including creation, verification, maintenance and reconciliation to the general ledger verification of charges.
  • Management of Accrued Legal and Accounting Fees, including verification of invoices, accrual amounts, and compliance with SOX controls.
  • Assist with Treasury, including monthly reports to HR.
  • Ensure that proper general ledger supporting documentation with adequate explanation is provided to external auditors in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that proper records are retained such that testing of compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls is adequate and complete.
  • Researching GAAP and SEC topics and communicate recommendations and guidance effectively to individuals with varying levels of accounting knowledge and background
  • Assisting in interim and year-end audits
  • Other special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, And Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years relevant accounting or financial analysis experience
  • Oracle Financials R12 experience
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Windows and Office programs; primarily Excel)
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and ability to interpret and apply technical accounting research and reach conclusions
  • Desire to engage, lead and work in cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills which provide the ability to establish and build working relationships with individuals throughout the organization
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • SAP/Oracle, Financial Management, Tableau and/or Alteryx experience a plus.
  • Prior experience in a public accounting firm preferred; mix of public/private a plus.
