We are seeking an Application Specialist with expertise in Lab Automation and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows to support DISPENDIX's customers throughout the EMEA region. In this role, you will collaborate with customers, sales teams, and R&D, providing specialized support and facilitating the development of customized automation solutions for NGS workflows. You will also play a key role in pre-sales activities, leveraging your expertise to guide customers and support sales efforts.
- R&D Liaison: Work closely with the R&D, Product management and QC team to convey customer insights, contributing to the development and optimization of lab automation systems for NGS workflows
- Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to demonstrate product capabilities and provide expert guidance during pre-sales activities, helping tailor solutions that meet customer needs
- Application Support for Installations: Provide on-site and remote application support for the installation of new lab automation systems, ensuring successful implementation and optimal performance for new customers
- Automation Development: Assist in the creation and optimization of automated NGS workflows, supporting the development of innovative lab automation solutions for the customer base
- Documentation and Training: Develop resources, including protocols and training materials, to facilitate customer onboarding and long-term satisfaction with the automation systems
- Educational Background: PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field, with experience in lab automation preferred
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in a genomics or molecular biology lab, with hands-on experience in NGS workflows
- Technical Skills: Expert in laboratory automation technologies (e.g., liquid handlers, dispensers) and willingness to develop expertise in DISPENDIX’s automation systems
- Communication Skills: Strong organizational and presentation abilities, with a proven capacity to explain technical concepts to both scientific and commercial audiences
- Travel Flexibility: Willing to travel in average 50% (domestic and international) for customer visits, installation and pre-sales support
