As a part of the Enterprise Website Initiative (EWI) team will have accountability for state-of-the-art global marketing or corporate websites for Lilly. This is a fast-paced role which needs flexibility and agility to balance fast turn arounds. You should be an expert in front end website development. The Digital Development Lead is the “custodian” and is responsible for ensuring that websites are developed, validated, maintained and retired according to policy and procedure. You will work directly with Front End Web Developers to ensure design, content and technical accuracy of websites you manage. You will also collaborate with other key stakeholders including designers, account managers and website owners. You will become an expert in the delivery framework and will provide technical consultation for the websites. This role requires constant communication and coordination with key stakeholders across multiple countries.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound requests for service
  • Assess request for technical accuracy
  • Assign request to development team and monitor progress
  • Verify request is completed to design, content and functional specification
  • Ensure creation of approval PDF matches site
  • Track and execute change requests through approval process
  • Ensure site meets all policies and procedures
  • Site deployment
  • Ensure site is in inventory and monitored appropriately
  • Perform proactive health monitoring of site
  • Contribute to the continual service improvement of the program


Education Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Technical Science or 4-7 years of IT/Programming experience

Mandatory Skills Required:

Hands on experience in the following technical skills:

  • 4-7 years of experience in web development
  • Excellent coordination skills and ability to balance many projects at once
  • Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, API’s, responsive web design, general web functions and standards
  • The position requires constant communication with colleagues
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in working in Scrum - agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management (GITHUB), build processes, Jira


Good to Have Skills

  • Understanding and experience of Full-Stack(React/Vue + Node)
  • Experience in development and deployment on cloud infrastructure
  • Experience working on multiple projects at once
  • Experience working with stakeholders in different countries
  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
