Patient Support Programs Development

The Patient Support Program (PSP) & Alternative Access Program (AAP) LEAD will be expected to develop the right PSP/AAP:

  • To assess the environment, brand strategies and patients needs in partnership with the affiliate brand teams to develop patient assistance strategy in India.
  • Lead key stakeholders in developing and executing India PSPs. (Developing AAPs competitive schemes and PSP programs that add value to patients)
  • Leading the Communication and assessment of third parties (when outsourcing programs) in collaboration with legal, compliance, finance, regulatory and quality to ensure highest standards of services
  • Create, develop, and perform third party contracts by aligning and securing all required approval all stakeholders (compliance, legal, finance, CA, medical, quality, marketing).
  • Act as a Lilly’s point of contact for internal & External stakeholder.
  • Ensuring third party and Lilly team readiness to execute new programs by arranging trainings, program materials and finalizing contracts with third party.

Leading Patient Support Programs Implementation

Once the programs are approved internally and externally (when needed), he/she will be responsible for managing the implementation of the program by:

  • Managing & coordinating with PSP Team for managing third parties responsible for the programs and assessing the performance regularly while spotting gaps and opportunities to improve when needed.
  • Communicating programs performance to Lilly Leadership & with all stakeholders (cross functional team etc.) and gather feedback from team and from market.
  • Conducts periodic performance reviews to assess the quality of service delivered by the third party.
  • Collaborating with Ethics and compliance, legal and quality to ensure that the programs are aligned with Lilly policies and procedures.
  • Evaluating customers satisfaction to maximize effectiveness of the PSP programs.
  • Effectively collaborates cross functionally.

PSP Coordinator

  • Lead AAPs & PSP governance forum at local level to update senior Leadership about the performance of PSP
  • Work as owner and coordinator for PSPs in India

Career development and Performance management of the team:

The PSP & AAP Manager will be expected to engage in continuous developments of the team, using appropriate methods as well as fostering an environment that encourages team work by:

  • AAP Associate/ Medical educator performance management, action planning, recruiting, coaching and training
  • Meeting regularly with team to coach, mentor, and evaluate the progress towards objective fulfillment training and development needs.

Skills, Knowledge, & Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master level degree
  • History of previous leadership roles and also experience from pharmaceutical MNCs
  • Commercial background with excellent business acumen
  • Medical expertise and/or proficient knowledge of the disease state and current treatment options.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in the English language
