Job Description

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of bioanalytical methods for the determination of drug and metabolite concentrations in biological fluids and tissues in support of drug development programs
  • Utilize LC-MS/MS and Ligand binding assay instrumentation
  • Preparation of samples and processing of data
  • Utilize automated liquid handlers
  • Documentation of experimental results in electronic notebooks
  • Writing report summaries and collaborating with other scientists in the bioanalytical group.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Knowledge of bioanalysis using LC/MS in a regulated environment.
  • ·Experience with any of following: Waters Acuity UPLC, Sciex quadrupole MS/MS systems; Watson LIMS and Analyst software; Meso Scale Plate Reader, Hamilton robotic system.
  • Adept in variety of sample preparation techniques: ligand binding, protein precipitation, liquid-liquid and solid phase extraction techniques.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration
  • Well-organized, great attention to detail, an avid learner, can follow SOPs, and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle human and animal biological samples

Position is first shift, full-time with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encourgased to apply.
