Job Description

In a nutshell

As a Senior Network Engineer you will design, plan and implement network IT Infrastructure for Transformation, Integration and Segregation Projects throughout for different businesses across Europe. These projects will be aimed to perform installations, configuration, and migrations of enterprise-level network IT infrastructure systems from legacy to the new solutions.

Where will you be based and what business will you support?

Based in Barcelona; you will join a global IT infrastructure team that supports several business lines like Agroscience, Pharma, Genomic Services; among others.

How can you help us?

You will:

Propose and deliver solutions that best meet the business needs in terms of security, cost, and bandwidth.

Work closely with Server, Cloud, and Architects to deliver the IT Infrastructure as wider project. Act based on the end-to-end view of the infrastructure.

Ensure that IT Services are delivered effectively to business customers. This includes: the execution of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), management of IT Incidents/Problems and IT Changes as per well-defined ITIL processes, as implemented in the ITSM system (ServiceNow).

Ensure that performance, scalability, and security is maintained and optimized.

Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery wherever possible.

Consult with senior peers and partner with key vendors to maintain an understanding of modern technology and leading practices.

Drive projects that involve multiple stakeholders (users, architects, project managers).

Deliver quality documents on the solutions delivered and transition the service to Operations and regional IT teams.

Work with users to provide the best quality when delivering projects.

Act as subject matter expert after the Infrastructure Service is transitioned.

Qualifications

Are you our kind of extraordinary?

You have:

Solid experience in Network infrastructure design in data centre environments; including experience with firewalls (CheckPoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto); cloud and hybrid environments (GCP, Azure, AWS); routing and switching (CCNP or similar); SDWAN (Fortinet, Palo Alto); high and low-level designs; documentation and wireless equipment (Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist).

You are:

A Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.

A Solid communicator both in English and Spanish; with the ability to present technical projects on meetings.

What else should I know?

The below skills will be an advantage:

LAN/WAN/SDWAN network infrastructure design and implementation during acquisitions, transitions and delivery on enterprise level.

Experience with complex datacentre migrations.

NGFW experience with one of the following technologies: Checkpoint, Palo Alto and Fortinet.

Networking console management with one of the following technologies: Forti Manager / PA Panorama / Checkpoint.

Velocloud SDWAN.

Experience with SSL client VPN with Palo Alto, Checkpoint or Fortinet.

Wireless and Switching experience with Meraki or Juniper Mist.

Network virtualization experience (VMware NSX-T) and automation skills.

ServiceNow Experience.
