Job Description
As a Materials Management Technician, you will fulfill a critical role within the production team, executing tasks in strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Operating under the supervision of client Senior/Lead Technicians, you will be responsible for performing fundamental functions independently while progressively acquiring proficiency in more complex tasks. This position is integral to maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring unwavering adherence to quality standards.
Warehouse-specific Responsibilities:
- Execute incoming material receipt, clinical site drug returns, and sample management with utmost precision
- Conduct thorough receiving, inspection, and storage procedures for all warehouse inventory
- Perform critical sample collection activities under established protocols
- Manage essential inventory functions, including weekly replenishment, accurate posting of Excess & Obsolete inventory, and implementation of min/max adjustments
- Orchestrate and implement the discard process for expired and non-available inventory, among other materials
- Facilitate order management and material staging to support packaging/labeling work centers
- Provide crucial emergency cold vault coverage when required
- Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure impeccable system inventory accuracy
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain current cGMP training and safety certifications as mandated by site requirements
- Strictly adhere to cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations in all operational activities
- Promptly report any potential quality events or non-conformance to GMPs/SOPs upon observation
- Ensure meticulous completion of all documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Demonstrate flexibility for occasional overtime and weekend work to meet critical production demands
- Foster effective collaboration within the department and maintain professional interactions with employees from other departments to ensure seamless operational continuity
Working Conditions:
- This position necessitates the ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Must be capable of lifting up to 25lbs and performing physical tasks as required by the role
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Academic Credentials: Associates degree accompanied by 3-5 years of pertinent Warehouse experience, or High School Diploma with 5-7 years of relevant Warehouse experience.
- Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrable experience operating within a GMP-regulated environment and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is imperative.
- Legal Status: Candidates must possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
- Physical Capabilities: The role demands the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and sustain extended periods of walking and standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in technical writing is highly valued.
- Process Management: Prior involvement in deviation management or change control processes is considered advantageous.
- Software Competence: Proficiency in SAP is desirable.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated capacity for swift acquisition and application of new processes and tasks is essential.
- Technological Aptitude: Proven competence in utilizing warehouse management systems and related technologies is crucial.
- Organizational Excellence: Superior organizational skills and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks concurrently are paramount.
Additional Information
Position is first shift, full-time Mon-Fri 3pm-1130pm with overtime as needed. Flexibility to work on 1st shift or split shifts (such as 8am-5pm or 12pm-8:30pm) is needed during training period. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encouraged to apply.
