Who We Are
EvolveImmune Therapeutics is a next-generation immunotherapy company pioneering a new class of precision cancer medicines to transform patient outcomes, compared to current solid tumor therapies. Our first-in-category biotherapeutic EVOLVE platform utilizes integrated T cell co-stimulation to directly target tumor cells to deliver durable, tissue-localized anti-tumor adaptive immune responses. Our newly expanded, state-of- the-art 16,000+ square foot laboratory and office space located in the New Haven, CT biotechnology corridor and our laboratory footprint in Farmington, CT support in-house biologics, immunobiology, and translational activities, enabling our rapid pipeline progress. This includes EV-104, our lead solid tumor program rapidly advancing toward IND filing.
The Role
The company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Associate to join our innovative Biotherapeutics discovery and development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in protein biochemistry and biophysics, extensive hands-on experience with LC-MS and biophysical techniques for characterization of biologics, and an ability to conduct complex data analysis. A successful candidate will play an important role in supporting ongoing research and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sample preparation, and develop and optimize methods for LC-MS analysis of proteins/antibodies.
- Determine the accurate mass of bispecific and multispecific antibodies and fusion proteins.
- Interpret LC-MS data and report results utilizing appropriate software tools.
- Aid in structural elucidation including chain paring and post-translational modifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of LC-MS instrumentation to ensure precision and reliability in results.
- Perform various analytical and biophysical assays to evaluate the stability, binding affinity, and functional interactions of biomolecules.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and data analysis according to company standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deliver accurate and timely results.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Protein Biochemistry and Biophysics, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience with LC-MS analysis of biologics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in LC-MS, sample preparation techniques, and data analysis software (MassLynx, Byos by Protein Metrics, and others)
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and keen attention to analytical detail
- Communication: Ability to communicate results clearly to the project team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LC-MS analysis of bispecific and multispecific antibodies.
- Familiarity with additional LC-MS/MS analyses such as released N-glycan profiling and PTM analysis.
- Quality assessment of biomolecules by analytical SEC and HIC.
- Biophysical characterization experience with SPR, BLI, and ELISA assays.
- Developability assessment of biotherapeutics using nano-DSC, AC-SINS, and polyreactivity assays.
