Position Overview

The Market Research & Marketing Analytics Senior Manager will be a part of the International Marketing Team and supporting various activities within the Exact Sciences Marketing Team. Through deep understanding of the brands’ strategic imperatives, this role will design qualitative and quantitative market research projects by identifying the critical business questions and information gaps and implement the appropriate methodology to address those gaps. This role will prepare, manage, execute, and coordinate primary market research initiatives, both qualitative and quantitative. In addition, this role will manage and support all customer satisfaction survey activities and digital marketing analytics. This role reports to the Head of International Marketing.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with key marketing and other cross-functional team members to devise innovative research-based business solutions that are cost-effective. Inform strategic choice decisions and help to align the organization through an evidence-based approach.
  • Leverage competitive landscape and market research analysis to contribute to the development of brand strategies.
  • Support the development of hypotheses and actionable insights.
  • Translate primary market research findings into actionable insights and be able to influence the team’s decision-making accordingly.
  • Ensure that market research deliverables meet current and future needs of the organization, in close coordination with stakeholders in areas such as marketing, sales, market access, etc.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external partners to share information that provides insights.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Design both qualitative and quantitative research to address business questions.
  • Analyze data from primary research, and link findings with secondary data.
  • Generate clear, complete and compelling research reports.
  • Confidently and clearly present research findings to stakeholders both in person and virtually.
  • Monitor changes in the marketplace via primary and secondary market research and competitive intelligence. Utilize information from these analyses to develop insights for business partners, enabling business hypotheses generation that lead to strategy and execution.
  • Support key annual activities including Brand Planning and Budgeting by providing objective insights.
  • Help translate brand strategy into Key Performance Indicators and design studies to monitor them in a clear, concise manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by researching and implementing new research tools, internal and external standard methodologies, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to work and influence cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
  • Successfully navigate challenging situations, including ability to demonstrate leadership to customers and stakeholders.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to travel 15% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree Required.
  • 5+ years of work experience that included work in Market Research / Marketing Sciences / Commercial Insights / Analytics / Consulting.
  • 3+ years of specific Market Research experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing primary qualitative & quantitative market research.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, specifically with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with Excel.
  • Fluent in English. Other major European languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Data, Science, Business, or field related to job duties.
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, life sciences, and/or healthcare industries.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
