Position Overview
Exact Sciences is seeking an Analyst Intern to join the People and Workforce Analytics team. In this role, they will assist Analysts in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support informed decision-making across the organization. This internship offers hands-on experience and exposure to various HR functions, while helping stakeholders at all levels utilize data to drive strategic decisions.
This position is located in our Madison, WI offices.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Help with data analysis tasks for Adhoc requests and various projects that involve cleaning, manipulating, and interpreting data.
- Tool and Software Mastery: Create and update People Analytics/Productivity dashboards using Tableau and or Databricks.
- Data Visualization Skills: Create data visualizations using Tableau for various projects that clearly convey key insights to a non-technical audience.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document at least one data product in Databricks.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Tackle at least one complex data problem or challenge during the internship and document the approach taken to solve it.
- Understanding Business Context: Participate in stakeholder meetings or strategy sessions to understand how data influences decision-making.
- Learning and Development: Complete at least one online course or certification related to data analytics, or a specific tool used by the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current student enrolled towards a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences (such as Economics or Statistics), Mathematics, Engineering, or Biological Sciences.
- Demonstrated working knowledge in SQL, Python or R programming.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current student enrolled towards a Master’s degree in social sciences (such as Economics or Statistics), Mathematics, Engineering, or Biological Sciences.
- Working knowledge of UX design.
- Working knowledge of a visualization tool preferably Tableau and data management tool preferably Databricks.
- Working knowledge of version control (Git).
- Experience with laboratory, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Working understanding of database design.
- Working understanding of statistical methods for data analysis.
Salary Range:
$34,000.00 - $54,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
