Position Overview

The Supply Chain New Product Introduction (NPI) Specialist acts as a key member of the Product Development team responsible for seamless transfer of pipeline products to commercial operation. The NPI team is responsible for collaborating with functional area SMEs from Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to develop and support implementation of strategic recommendations related to supply chain setup for new products. The Specialist position utilizes a variety of systems and tools to ensure new product commercial readiness, including establishment of procurement, planning, logistics, fulfillment, warehousing, and inventory management plans across Exact Sciences entities.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deliver an Operations Plan capturing the overall Supply Chain/Logistics strategy defining the approach for NPI program commercialization, including specified processes/procedures, system requirements, and capture/approval of key business decisions.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders and project sponsors across technical teams, planning, logistics, warehousing, supplier management, sourcing, SAP/business systems, finance, and contracting to review project requirements and develop and implement appropriate cost-effective and sustainable Supply Chain/Logistics business processes supporting NPI commercialization.
  • Foster collaboration of key stakeholders across all Exact Sciences locations, ensuring detailed plans are in place for support of new products that span multiple locations for production, distribution, and clinical laboratory operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop solutions to business challenges and deliver project tasks related to commercialization of new products.
  • Demonstrated success with oral and written communication/presentation, influence and persuasion, results orientation, facilitation, interpersonal/teamwork, and listening skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related technical or scientific field.
  • 4+ years of professional industry related work experience within a Supply Chain role (procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, or other related supply chain role) in a biotech-manufacturing environment, preferably in a GMP and/or ISO environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in project/program management, demonstrating proficiency and leadership in cross-functional collaboration and negotiating compromise within a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet navigation, and email usage.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Biotech, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with a quality management system (QMS).

Salary Range:

$60,000.00 - $97,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
