Position Overview

The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for entering and maintaining a proper data base of our customer accounts and contacts. He / She will do so by working with Master Data request queue in our system to prioritize requests.

The person will be responsible for requests to create new customer accounts in our SFDC, Veeva and ordering portals to enable physicians to place first orders. In addition, the individual will update customer information in our SFDC and ordering portals as required and maintain cohesiveness of data between the systems. The data will

cover but not be limited to: Order approver changes, hospital account details, physician contact details,

provide new logins to the portal. The individual will support in extracting data for audit reports.

In addition, the individual will help in creating and maintaining data of different stakeholders involved in Exact Sciences operations: i.e Key Opinion Leaders, guest speakers, physicians.

The individual will adhere to relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertaining to the data entry requirements. As the subject matter specialist, he/ she will be the reference of the department and of external parties for master data initiatives and drive cross departmental operations to ensure data cohesiveness and

integrity.

The Master Data Specialist will demonstrate ability to work independently, function effectively as a member of

the Exact Sciences team. Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to focus are necessary qualities.

The Master Data Specialist must possess the skills to communicate professionally and effectively with all individuals, at times external customers and internal Exact Sciences employees. The impressions we create when we interact with our customers will play a significant role in successfully establishing favorable perceptions of the Company and its products.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Process incoming Master Data Requests.
  • Create customer service cases and set the appropriate follow update.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy of data entry.
  • Administer activities in Master Data queue in SFDC.
  • Document follow up activities in our Salesforce application according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the customer service department policy.
  • Work closely with our Sales Operations Veeva and SFDC Admin teams to maintain data integrity and cohesiveness across different systems.
  • Assist in building on existing customer base by providing the highest level of customer service and support.
  • Adhere to relevant SOPs pertaining to the data entry requirements.
  • Maintain a proper data base of our accounts and contacts.
  • Other administrative duties.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business administration, administrative support, or related field; or high school
  • degree/general education diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of an associate degree.
  • Fluency in the English language (C1 or above per CEFR framework).
  • 2+ years’ experience related to master data administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong data orientation, attention to detail and analytical skills as well as demonstrated ability to identify contextual and typographical errors.
  • Proactive mindset with excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including the ability to easily convey concepts and priorities, as well as the ability to solicit feedback and inputs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within an IT organization and/or on IT projects.
  • Technical affinity and superior technical communication skills.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce and/or Veeva CRM.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing demands.
  • Able to perform in a complex business environment.
  • Experience in molecular biology, genomics, translational science, and/or personalized medicine.
  • Superior technical communication skills.
  • Knowledge of other European languages (French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) and/or Japanese.
