The Rozenblatt-Rosen and Chen labs at the Cell and Tissue Genomics department at Genentech are seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Fellow to lead high-content single cell -omics perturbation projects . Candidates will devise and apply cutting edge tools to decode cell circuits and cell-cell communication in disease states spanning Neuroscience and Immunology. This position will collaborate extensively with scientists in other departments in particular Computational Sciences, Neuroscience, Regenerative Medicine and Human Genetics. Scientific insights resulting from this research are expected to be presented at scientific conferences and published in high-impact journals.
The Opportunity:
Lead experiments using chemical and genetic perturbation tools coupled with high content imaging and single cell -omics to screen for regulators of disease states in complex in vitro human models
Decode biological insights from screens through analysis of imaging (e.g CellPainting) and spatial-omics data
Leverage data to build predictive models of cellular response which can be validated experimentally
Who You Are:
Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Systems biology, Neuroscience, Immunology or related field
Expertise in high content imaging screens and/or spatial omics experimental methods
Expertise in molecular biology including recent advances in gene editing tools
Experience in single-cell omics, spatial transcriptomics and/or high-content imaging data analysis
Demonstrated record of innovative scientific accomplishments as evidenced by at least one first-author or co-first author key paper
Highly collaborative with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment together with multi-disciplinary teams of computational scientists and biologists

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $98,000 to 104,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below:
