The Role

As Senior Scientist of Commercial Data Science, you will work with a multidisciplinary international team of world-class professionals in Commercial. You will be a key player in AI & digital transformation initiatives that will ensure Genmab's innovative therapies reach the right patients at the right time. The successful candidate will participate in a data-driven, agile culture that helps drive top-line growth and bring significant value to patients with unmet medical needs. She or he will serve as a technical expert for recommending and executing best-in-class approaches for data-driven decision making.

This role is in Princeton, NJ and is hybrid, requiring living within driving commuting distance to our Princeton, NJ office.

Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Consult on all levels of the analytics lifecycle. Including, but not limited to, data acquisition, KPI creation, predictive analytics, and ML/AI modeling.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and ability to translate quantitative findings in simplified terms.
  • Identify and build the case for AI and ML innovation within the US commercial organization.
  • Partner with stakeholders in other functional areas to create end-to-end business solutions (e.g. Customer Excellence & Insights, Sales & Marketing and Information Technology & Digital organizations).

Execution

  • Techniques include next best action approaches, key driver analyses, statistical/machine learning for patient finding, and large language modeling.
  • Respond to various business questions with data-driven, actionable insights requiring the use of advanced data manipulation, synthesis and visualization techniques.
  • Provide concise analyses that go beyond a presentation of the facts to include a discussion of the associated business implications and recommended course of action.
  • Provide clear requirements to technical and consultant teams and coordinate delivery.
  • Ability to recommend and QA both technical and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with DS&AI hub teams, including data engineering, AI labs, and AI products for larger commercial initiatives.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in quantitative discipline and 2+ years commercial/pharmaceutical experience, or MS + 5 years of commercial/pharmaceutical experience
  • Strong background in data science, commercial analytics, and/or real-world evidence generation.
  • Fluency in real-world datasets (e.g. claims) and other commercial datasets (e.g. Rx, CRM, HCP affiliation, formulary data)
  • Excel in Python, R, and/or SQL.
  • Strong background in utilization of cloud services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with stakeholders and work in a cross-functional team environment as well as experience in managing outside consultants.
  • Highly independent with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex, unstructured problems.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$114,375.00---$190,625.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
