About ProBio

ProBio proactively provides end-to-end CDMO service from drug discovery to commercialization with proactive strategies, professional solutions and efficient processes in cell and gene therapy (CGT), vaccine, biologics discovery and antibody protein drug to accelerate drug development for customers. ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing. In terms of plasmid service, ProBio supports the most clinical approvals for CGT drugs including mRNA vaccines, CAR-T in China. It is also the first GMP manufacturing platform to provide in vitro transcription (IVT) template linearized plasmids for mRNA vaccines and has supported several mRNA vaccine global enterprises to obtain clinical approvals. Your skillsets will be considered for roles in our Protein and Gene department, and you will be shortlisted accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform experiments on mammalian cells such as HEK293 and CHO, including resuscitation, passage, transfection, and culture.
  • Purify mammalian recombinant antibody and protein using various chromatography methods, and formulate appropriate purification scheme according to order requirements
  • Perform concentration test, SDS-PAGE, Western blot analysis, endotoxin test, HPLC and LC-MS test of protein samples
  • Synthesize targeted genes and conduct experimental procedures such as PCR, ligation transformation, and plasmid construction.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and product production requirements.
  • Independently operate experiments including gene synthesis, vector construction, and quality inspection.
  • Analyze and process experimental data, prepare records and reports.
  • Manage instruments and conduct maintenance as needed.
  • Report and solve production process issues, ensure proper experiment handover, and assist with problem analysis.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent
  • Familiar with the experimental operation of Mammalian Cell-culture, Chromatography, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, LC-MS, HPLC and other protein detection is preferred
  • Familiar with Conventional techniques of genetic engineering, such as Isolation and Manipulation of DNA (i.e: Primer Design, Plasmid Design, PCR, CRISPR/Cas9 Gene Editing, Transformation, Plasmid Isolation, Sequence Analysis and etc.) is preferred
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good team working skills

Commitment Period: Full-time, 5 months and above (starting from Oct 2024/Jan 2025) - Onsite

  • Candidates who can commit for a year may have the opportunity to engage in rotational work within the protein department (at least 6 months for each position), this is subjected to the availability of a replacement for the intern.
