Position Summary
The Vice President, Human Resources will serve as a strategic partner to all departments and functional leaders. The Vice President will help align overall business objectives with people strategies, including a focus on developing leaders and teams, driving organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, compensation planning, performance and rewards management, fostering an inclusive culture, and prioritizing the highest impact solutions. The Vice President will be instrumental in identifying patterns within the organization and providing solutions to create an effective and efficient employee environment.
This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA and Parsippany, NJ. The Vice President will report to the Senior Vice President & Chief People Officer.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor, role model, and coach to leaders to drive critical talent-related business decisions, including organization design, planning, succession planning, and change management to make employee-related decisions in a fast-changing environment
- Lead end-to-end change efforts that deliver measurable results aligned with project goals
- Lead and manage compensation planning and the annual performance management process
- Promote and lead a comprehensive compensation program that is beneficial and supportive of attracting and retaining top talent
- Lead talent management/development strategies and programs that are integrated and aligned with the overall talent and succession management needs of the organization
- Champion the employee lifecycle to promote a unified culture throughout the organization and maintain a top employee experience
- Facilitate partnership and alignment between the People Team and business objectives
- Collaborate with various People Team functions (Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, People Programs, etc.) in the design, implementation, and measurement of people programs
- Support continued implementation and integration of HR systems and tools and utilize technology to design data-driven HR strategies
- Contribute a clear vision, direction, and leadership within the People Team function that is service-oriented and maintains best practices that lead to excellence in departmental execution

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline required; Advanced degree beneficial
- SHRM or PHR Certification preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Human Resources Management with at least 8 years in a senior HR leadership position with demonstrated HR generalist experience
- Prior experience and advanced knowledge of HR concepts, practices, procedures, strategic human resource management, change management, compensation, and organizational development
- Experience building and supporting a commercial stage biotechnology organization strongly preferred

Salary Statement:
Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant’s relevant skills, experience, and educational background. The salary ranges displayed below are only for those who, if selected for the role, will perform work in the specific locations listed. Please note the employment opportunity is not limited to these locations.
General Salary Range: $300,000 to $320,000
