Job Description
The Molecular Assessment group within the Protein Therapeutics department is looking for a talented and motivated senior research associate to join our team. For this laboratory-based role, the successful candidate will be mainly responsible for generating high quality molecular assessment data for a variety of early-stage biologics candidates using analytical methods. Key responsibility
- Conduct analytical and biophysical characterization (SEC, CE-SDS, cIEF, DSF, DLS, BVP ELISA, AC-SINS, and PSP etc.) for biologics including antibodies, bispecifics, Fc-fusions, and antibody drug conjugates.
- Interpret large data sets, organize, and present molecular assessment data to project teams to guide drug candidate selection and optimization.
- Optimize and develop analytical methods for novel biologics characterization. Write and updated SOPs as needed.
- Document experiments and findings following company policy.
- Proactively maintain and troubleshoot instruments.
- Maintain familiarity with the relevant scientific literature.
Required Education and Experience
- B.S with 2+years or M.S. with 0+ years of relevant experience but prefer B.S. with 4+years and M.S. with 2+years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with biophysical techniques and instrumentations such as SEC, CE-SDS, cIEF, DSF, and DLS.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of biologics developability and purification process
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work from multiple projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and can work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with AC-SINS, BVP ELISA, and PSP assays.
- Experience with ADC analytics.
- Experience with protein structure modeling.
- Experience with lab automation
- Experience with data analytics/visualization tools.
