Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Director of Functional Genomics to lead our dynamic team of bioinformaticians and software engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computational biology and machine learning, with a proven track record in drug discovery within biotech and pharmaceutical industries. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive the technical vision and execution of our functional genomics products.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in drug discovery within biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
- Extensive experience in computational biology and machine learning, preferably in transcriptomics, extraction and elucidation of chemical signatures / MOAs.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute detailed product roadmaps.
- Preferable experience in CNS and immunology.
- Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong technical expertise in functional genomics and related technologies, including drug-seq, scRNA-seq, and high content imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and understand their needs.
- Experience in grant writing and securing funding.
- Strong publication record and experience speaking at industry conferences.

Total compensation for this role is market driven, with a starting salary of $minimum of range +, as well as company stock awards. Base pay is ultimately determined based on a candidate's skills, expertise, and experience.
