We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Data Governance Champion within our organization. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, capable of working cross-functionally with various departments to drive data governance initiatives forward. As a quick learner, the candidate will adapt swiftly to new concepts, technologies, and regulatory requirements in the ever-evolving landscape of data governance. Their detail-oriented nature ensures meticulous attention to every aspect of data management, from data quality assessment to metadata management. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills, enabling them to dissect complex data governance challenges, identify underlying issues, and devise effective solutions. Data Management

  • Develop and lead strategy for effective management of data owned to support business operations, strategic objectives, and analytics.

  • Ensure metadata and lineage, DQ and data access for the accountable data comply with established DG framework.

Data Access

  • Review, provide feedback, and approve data classifications and accesses.

Metadata Management

  • Identify, prioritize critical data/CDEs including upstream, downstream and data exchanges.

  • Support data stewards in developing business glossary and lineage.

  • Provide feedback and approve the business metadata and lineage definitions.

Data Quality

  • Partner with data stewards to investigate root causes of data issues for accountable data and provide recommendations for remediation.

  • Review the DQ performance levels across data under ownership and suggest key improvements.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in implementation of industry-leading DG tools like Collibra, Unity Catalog and Ataccama

  • In-depth understanding of the data domain’s structure, content, and business significance

  • Understanding of the business impact and risks associated with the data domain.

  • Possess a familiarity with data management and governance roles, processes and standards.

  • Analytical skills are necessary for understanding enterprise level data quality, metadata management, access and related metrics.

  • Project Management Skills are required to manage the complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
