Job Purpose:

The main purpose of this role is to o provide business insights to the Commercial Business Units in preparation of business goals, strategies and tactics.

This role will support multiple brands and therapy areas and will be responsible for bridging the gap between data and business, assuring a correct translation of business needs to analytics / data support and translating analytics results into actionable business insights facilitating the decision-making process based on data across the organization.

In this role, you will...

  • Act as an insights, data and analytical consultant across all other departments including: CoE, Sales, Marketing, Commercial Decision Support, Data Management, Finance, Forecasting and other partners.
  • Support Commercial and Finance stakeholders on the establishment & development of medium-long-range strategic plans by: identifying internal and external strategic issues and opportunities, and developing strategic recommendations to optimize revenues and profitability and secure adequate resourcing, including the design of Sales Force Incentive Schemes.
  • Engage with the business function to identify and prioritize projects in which data could be beneficial and defining the detailed business question/problem.
  • Partner with Marketing and Finance teams to develop the brand forecasts and identify risks and opportunities; challenging assumptions (underpinned by understanding of customer, market share and growth dynamics) and ensuring common volume numbers are used in demand/supply planning and financial forecast
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of data solutions and initiatives by identifying the data that could be used, ensuring the output will be understood and useable by users, validating the data/insights results, developing recommendations based on insights and driving ongoing adoption within the business.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Advanced Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research or related field
  • Prior working experience on business insights or analytics role (understanding of the pharmaceutical business desired)
  • Ability to translate advanced analytic solutions into business contexts and viceversa, adding business value through data insights and analysis (i.e. understanding what analysis and models can be applied to what business problems, ability to interpret model results, identify potential model errors, etc.)
  • Experience in reporting tools (Power BI) or other analytics tools
  • Experience in commercial analysis (marketing research, sales/marketing analysis, forecasting, competitive intelligence), with a strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work, communicate effectively, influence and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across at all levels in a matrix environment organization
  • Fluent in English
