Currently, we are looking for experienced candidates for the position of Finance Planning Analyst (IPE) to support the Internal Project Expenses (IPE) Central Team which provides financial oversight and business partnership with senior R&D leaders in a critical planning and analysis capacity, primarily responsible for building the detailed department budgets, forecasts, and handling all month-end activities that support the R&D resource requirement estimates.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building the annual budget and forecast using Hyperion and automated forecasting tools and by liaising with the embedded finance and business partners and the business.

  • Provide analytic support and manage processes related to annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

  • Reviewing month end results ensuring that accruals and reclasses are calculated and posted as required within materiality levels.

  • Issuing reports and providing month end variance commentary highlighting key under and overspends.

  • Managing financial processes to support various algorithmic business drivers; manage financial processes to deliver transparent, assumption-driven, analytical expertise to effectively support project spend.

  • Continually reviewing processes and systems to identify improvements and opportunities for automation.

  • Taking accountability for identifying & communicating finance practices, issues and opportunities to financial leadership and internal customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting.

  • Specialized accounting expertise with min. 2 years of experience.​​

  • Prior experience with Pharma industry / project work, Hyperion and SAP (CERPS) skills preferred.

  • Comfortable working independently, developing a customer-focused relationship with clients, interact with study managers, project managers and finance directors and yet having the confidence and self-assurance to challenge assumptions.

  • Good problem-solving skill.

  • Fluent English.
