Education required: Undergraduates studying Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited university, from School of Applied Science/Chemical and Life Sciences with a focus in Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Biologics

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: January to June 2025

What will you do?

GSK Tuas is implementing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to enable the use of electronic batch records (EBR) for our production processes. As part of this exciting initiative, we are offering an internship opportunity and looking for a motivated candidate to join our team!

As an intern, you will have the chance to work on a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assisting in the development of manufacturing processes and translating batch manufacturing sequences into systematic sections for electronic batch records

  • Supporting the project team in designing, building, testing, and validating the Master Electronic Batch Records

  • Collaborating with users from Production and Manufacturing Science and Technology team to accurately capture their requirements for designing the Master EBRs and PIs

  • Assisting the project team in exploring MES capabilities from the Global libraries and project documentations

  • Work on promoting MES awareness within the company by creating short videos and engaging content for the company's social media platforms

What will you learn?

  • Gain hands-on experience and expertise in the latest MES technology used in the biopharmaceutical industry

  • Collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues from Singapore and Headquarters, fostering a dynamic learning environment

  • Develop a deep understanding of manufacturing processes within the biopharmaceutical industry

  • Familiarize yourself with the validation methodology and requirements for biopharmaceutical process equipment

  • Have the opportunity to interact with various functions in the company, providing valuable insights into their respective responsibilities

  • Experience the fast-paced and dynamic nature of project environment, gaining essential knowledge about key considerations in this field
