The role is supporting the evolution of GSK’s tax operations through continuous improvement of tax processes and technologies, acting as a tax process subject matter expert and leading transformational projects. The scope is global, with a primary focus on the EMEA and APAC regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the deployment of e-solution mandates across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Manage data quality projects that impact direct and indirect tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Lead and coordinate a wide range of projects, such as implementing tax law changes, tax process improvements, and standardization initiatives. This includes business cases, engagement and assessment, project planning, design, implementation, testing, training, documentation, risk management, and success measurement. Build a broad network across GSK to understand end-to-end business processes and maximize them.
- Monitor, resolve, and report on tax queries and process-related issues raised by the business or our tax reporting providers.
- Identify and resolve system issues from a tax perspective by collaborating with various teams, including finance, tax, tech, and external providers.
- Analyse and interpret new tax changes for the EMEA and APAC regions, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the efficiency of activities and suggest process improvements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Basic Requirements:
- Degree in finance, commerce, business, or a related tax area.
- At least 5 years of experience in a combination of tax technology, transformation, compliance, or accounting.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience in tax across multiple jurisdictions.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working with SAP ERP (experience of the transition to S4/Hana would be an asset).
- Tax technology experience.
- Experience working within multinational or culturally diverse teams.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
