GSK is seeking a Senior/Project Manager & GPS specialist to join our GPS team to manage projects and deliver on our continuous improvements plan. As our Senior/Project Manager & GPS specialist you will lead project plans at site level and work with the departmental team to improve our efficiency and performance.

As Senior/Project Manager & GPS Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Binney Street projects portfolio and continuous improvement culture. You will engage across functions and business units to meet the organizations expectations for the Project Management, Operational Excellence, and Site Strategy teams, and create a culture where employees are fully engaged with high job satisfaction. You will be a member of the project management & GPS team reporting into the Head, GPS.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on project tasks on-time and on-budget.
  • Facilitate project team meetings to oversee the planning and execution of project activities to ensure alignment with the expectations and timelines.
  • Provide leadership for teams to proactively plan project activities, and create an environment where problems are addressed and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
  • Partner proactively with team members to identify risks, gaps, and resource bottlenecks and then develop and implement mitigation plans.
  • Measure project performance versus plan and milestones using appropriate systems, tools and techniques including but not limited to dashboards, metrics.
  • Effectively communicate the status and risks ensuring internal stakeholder accountability and awareness.
  • Facilitate problem solving, CIF, Accelerators, Kaizan Events, and DMAIC workshops.
  • Implement GPS program deployments according to GSK standards and as aligned with the global GPS roadmap.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering related field
  • Experience in leading CI activity and hands-on project implementation at site and functional level.
  • The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience:
    • Project Manager Role (grade 7): 3+ years of experience in GMP biopharmaceutical industry in project management, manufacturing, MSAT, engineering, quality or similar disciplines and understands the interdependencies among these disciplines.
    • Senior Project Manager Role (grade 6): 5+ years of experience in GMP biopharmaceutical industry in project management, manufacturing, MSAT, engineering, quality or similar disciplines and understands the interdependencies among these disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Manager Role (grade 7): 5+ years experience as a Project Manager
  • Senior Project Manager Role (grade 6): 7+ years experience as a Project Manager
  • Project management qualification preferred (i.e. PMP)
  • Proficiency in multiple project management methodologies, software, and tools.
  • Strong team facilitation, customer relationship building, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to capture technical discussion in the form of meeting minutes, decision points and action items.
  • The ability to be self-disciplined and individually accountable for delivery.
  • Pragmatic, Results Oriented and Organized with an ability to manage multiple priorities and readily adapt to changes in priorities and project schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and communicate effectively vertically and horizontally.
  • Problem solving in a collaborative productive manner to analyze and solve complex issues that do not have routine solutions.
  • An energetic, detail oriented, positive individual with a high EQ, unquestionable ethics and integrity.
