(Senior) Medical Affairs Manager - Eosinophilic Diseases (m/f/d)
The Medical Affairs Manager - Eosinophilic Diseases is an office-based, field directed medical professional who uses medical knowledge and medical insights to develop and execute the country medical affairs plan under the general supervision of the Medical Affairs Lead. The Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for the pipeline and portfolio strategy and engages in senior management communication, provides cutting edge scientific information to external stakeholders, and leads innovative projects to change the care situation for patients with eosinophilic diseases.
This is a position with focus on established and pipeline products within our respiratory portfolio. It offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with the ambition to apply science to shape healthcare and deliver solutions to improve care.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and execution of the Medical Affairs plan in alignment with the global strategy while reflecting the specifics of the country e.g., different standards of care, reimbursement timeline
- Planning and implementation of local Medical Affairs activities of established and pipeline products within agreed timelines and budgets
- Establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with external experts, healthcare institutions and scientific societies
- Planning and execution of advice seeking activities; contributing to GSK sponsored meetings and symposia, preparing and delivering scientific presentations
- Mentoring and sparring for junior colleagues
- Forward-looking, methodical and strategic thinking to develop innovative supply concepts with an entrepreneurial mind-set and creativity to recognize and explore innovative new paths
- Close collaboration with marketing functions for the development of promotional and educational materials in line with the Pharmaceutical Law, GSK Code of Practice and other standards
- Collaboration with the global therapeutic area team for scientific exchange and co-creation of the disease area strategy and tactics
Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced medical or life science degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD)
- Several years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including Medical Affairs and launch experience
- Ability to interpret the results of studies in line with Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) principles
- Growth mindset with the willingness and ability to challenge the status quo
- Ambitious for patients, accountable for impact, agile in execution
- Experience in the following therapeutic areas is highly desirable: respiratory diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases
- Flexibility to travel in Germany; international travel may be required too
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills in German and English
