The purpose of the role is to identify, manage and support the execution of risk management activities for R&D Procurement whilst also ensuring Procurement remains compliant to GSK and Procurement policies. This role is the point of contact for R&D Global Procurement as well as support the R&D Quality teams as a link for R&D inspections for which Procurement is involved.

Senior Manager, Policy, Risk and Compliance - R&D Procurement responsibilities will be to:

  • Execute key deliverables within the policy, risk and compliance agenda across Global Procurement, such that: i) Procurement is effective in identifying and managing risk, quality and governance; ii) Procurement Leadership has evidence of control in their area; and iii) Written Standards are simple and effective
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders such as but not limited to Global Procurement, Global Ethics & Compliance, Audit & Assurance, R&D Third Party Oversight and Quality
  • Facilitate the execution of Global Procurement’s de-risking strategies and provide clear reporting and performance management of mitigation activities, using the RMS system and PowerBI
  • Provide high quality content for quarterly RMCBs, Quality Councils and Cross Functional risk forums, including facilitating the sessions and/or presenting as required
  • Support risk framework activities such as but not limited to management monitoring and beign the audit / inspection point of contact when R&D Procurement is involved
  • Manage activities to ensure the team’s inspection readiness status; support storyboards as necessary; audit and/or review processes and projects with inspection readiness in mind
  • Coach and train Global Procurement employees on GSK expectations for effective control of policy, risk and compliance, including the development and maintenance of relevant learning content
  • Support on the increasing scope of team objectives, including supporting Supply Chain and Indirect Procurement in supporting the risk management framework
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of multiple R&D Procurement categories and understanding of the relevant industries/markets

  • Batchelors Degree (Business, Sciences, Procurement, Risk Management, related field, or any Bachelors, combined with relevant experience)
  • 5+ years working in complex global corporate environment
  • 2+ years working in procurement, R&D, risk management, quality or related field
  • Experience of regulated environments or good working knowledge manufacturing quality
  • Experience of managing and influencing people directly or indirectly
  • project and change management skills
  • inspection readiness skills/experience
  • communication and engagement skills
  • English proficiency (written and oral)
