To oversee and guide the commercial strategy and execution for the company's pipeline of products. This New Product Introduction Manager role involves evaluating market opportunities, defining commercial potential, and ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives. The New Product Introduction Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, and finance, to develop and implement strategies that maximize the value of the pipeline assets throughout their development stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for new product launches, including market research, early opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, stakeholders’ identifications.
  • Lead the pre-launch planning activities, including demand forecasting, market access strategies, policy shaping and early-stage stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, medical, government affairs, market access, finance, and supply teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of launch strategies.
  • Shape policy by working with government agencies, industry associations, and advocacy groups to create a favourable environment for new product launches.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy groups, to secure support and funding for new products.
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing, including budget allocation, staffing, and external partnerships, to support a successful product launch.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring all marketing activities are on time and within budget.
  • Create compelling marketing materials, including product positioning, messaging, sales tools, and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to drive product awareness and adoption.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of new product launches, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to ensure GSK remains competitive in the market.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or above degree relevant field such as business, marketing, life sciences, or any related discipline.
  • 7-8 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of drug development and commercialization processes.
  • Proven track record in commercial roles, such as marketing, sales, business development, or strategic planning, preferably with experience in managing the commercial aspects of a product pipeline.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and financial forecasting.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and the ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, clinical, regulatory, marketing, sales, and finance departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including project management, team leadership, and the ability to drive results in a matrixed environment.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance related to pharmaceutical product development and commercialization.
  • Strong business acumen, including financial literacy and the ability to evaluate commercial viability and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and solve complex problems creatively and effectively.
