The Global Reporting Centre of Excellence (GR CoE) brings together a team of experienced business process subject matter experts and technical experts in order to deliver engaging, efficient & insightful reporting and analysis solutions based on the rich and diverse data set available through GSK’s global deployment.
We are seeking to recruit a Finance Reporting BI Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting the strategy and design of cutting-edge reporting solutions in collaboration with the Global Reporting and BI Transformation Lead. Your mission will include delivering innovative new reporting solutions and enhancing existing ones, while ensuring the highest quality and efficacy of BI reporting tools across various technologies, including SAP BI, SAC, and Power BI. Additionally, you will provide advanced support and capability development to elevate user proficiency and drive widespread adoption of these tools.
Reporting BI Architect
Key Responsibilities:
- Design advanced reporting solutions while leading the strategic planning and development to ensure alignment with organizational goals and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficacy across Power BI, SAC, SAP BW, SAP BI, S/4 HANA
- Design comprehensive data models that support reporting requirements across multiple BI platforms. Ensure the integration of data from various sources into the BI tools, maintaining data consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support them in gathering and documenting business requirements for BI solutions.
- Optimize the performance of BI solutions to ensure fast and reliable access to data.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on the best practices for using different BI tools.
- Ensure the scalability and flexibility of BI solutions to meet future business demands.
- Lead the design and implementation of self-service BI capabilities for end-users.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in the use of BI tools.
- Collaborate with the Global Reporting Centre of Excellence to evaluate development efforts, assess feasibility, and define a comprehensive execution plan.
- Oversee and monitor the development of approved solutions, ensuring strict adherence to established reporting standards.
- Ensure timely and complete delivery of all reports, maintaining a high level of accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and implement change management strategies for BI projects.
- Conduct proof-of-concept projects to evaluate new BI tools and technologies.
- Work closely with the Digital Data and Analytics delivery team team to centralize BI development and maintenance.
- Continuously improve development cycles by implementing best practices and ensuring that requested changes are cohesive and seamlessly integrated with the existing portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in BI architecture and reporting within a global organization.
- Experience with data modeling and database design.
- Proven track record of developing complex data models and ETL processes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ability to prioritize BI projects based on potential value and impact to the organization.
- Ability to communicate the strategic value of BI to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly assess feasibility and evaluate workload for potential BI projects
- Proficiency in balancing technical purity and the pursuit of the best possible solution with timeline, budget, and existing design constraints.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Additional Qualifications (Nice to have although not a must):
- Proficiency in SAP BI, Analysis for Office, and Power BI.
- Excellent data visualization skills and experience creating dashboards and reports.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with version control and documentation best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills for junior BI team members.
- Proven track record of delivering BI projects that result in measurable business improvements.
- Expertise in identifying and leveraging data to uncover new business opportunities and efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
