(Senior) Medical Strategy and Governance Manager (m/f/d)
The Medical Strategy & Operations Group enables the LOC Medical Department Staff to autonomously generate Impact for Patients and External Experts.
As the (Senior) Manager for Medical Strategy and Governance, you aim to ensure that the Medical Department Staff meets both governance as well as company internal requirements for the activities conducted in this department. In this role, you act as a key developer of governance frameworks, consulting in decision topics and also take responsibility for continuous improvement of the process landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and supervise the implementation of the governance, risk and management monitoring framework and regulations in coordination with Global Medical Risk Management/ Applied Medical Governance
- Ensure functioning Medical Governance, Risk and Quality Management System within LOC Medical Department to uphold the highest quality standards
- Develop & implement medical governance frameworks for new strategic focus areas within LOC Medical Department
- Consult LOC Medical Department in governance, risk and quality management related question by providing clear and situation-specific recommendations with their underlying risks
- Execute and implement projects on behalf of the medical leadership team and cross business units
- Develop & implement medical governance frameworks for new strategic focus areas within LOC Medical Department, incl. high-level framework, checklists, written standards, communications and training
- Coordinate with Global Medical Risk Management to reflect local requirements in global process standards & controls
Qualifications & Skills
- Master or Equivalent (Medical, Scientific, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or related), preferrably PhD
- Several years working experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (Commercial or Medical)
- Experience in Governance
- Experience in Project Management
- Working understanding of Quality and Regulatory Expectations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills in German and English
