About the Role

At GSK, we are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people worldwide through our innovative vaccines. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Associate Medical Manager to join our Vaccines team and contribute to our mission of preventing disease and saving lives. You will play a critical role in leading the development and execution of scientific activities, bringing medical and technical expertise to brand teams and contributing to the development and implementation of product strategy.

Your role will be varied and will include:

  • Gaining insights from key external stakeholders to evolve the Product Strategy
  • Providing strategic input to the production, review, and approval of promotional and non-promotional material
  • Identifying “grey areas” of higher risk and provide clarity for activities where there is ambiguity
  • Providing support/lead in the planning and execution of medical-led activities, such as advisory board, scientific symposiums and third-party medical education
  • Interacting with external experts and healthcare professionals (e.g. conferences, advisory boards, medical education, supported studies) to proactively gather insights to support strategy
  • Supporting in the creation of a clear Omnichannel strategy, including digital solutions
  • Collaboration with MSL team including external facing time to drive medical strategy

About you?

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, deep understanding of various channels, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

You’ll also have:

  • Experience as Scientific Advisor, MSL or equivalent roles.
  • Understanding and application of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
  • Demonstration of majority of key accountabilities and competencies required for the role, including experience with the review and approval of promotional and non-promotional materials and external engagement experience to execute activities and build product strategy
  • The ability to critically appraise and interpret data as well as the ability to apply governance principles
  • Strong project management skills to accelerate delivery
  • Experience as a senior medical signatory across multiple disease and therapeutic areas will be advantageous
