Founded in 1974, the Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing medical genetics and providing care for families affected by genetic diseases and birth defects. GGC offers clinical genetic services, diagnostic testing, educational programs, and conducts research in medical genetics. With five clinic locations in South Carolina, GGC focuses on improving access to genomic testing and personalized treatment plans through its Precision Medicine Initiative. The center is committed to compassionate care, innovative research, and educating the next generation of scientists, making significant strides in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of genetic disorders.
