Job Description

As a Veeva CRM Techno-Functional Lead at Guardant Health, you will play a critical role in delivering technical and functional expertise on various Veeva platforms. Leveraging your deep understanding and hands-on experience with Veeva CRM, Vault - PromoMats, Network, Medcomm, Align, MyInsights Studio,Medical Affairs Modules and Key Account Management (KAM), you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, design solutions, configure applications, and ensure seamless delivery. Your technical and functional expertise will enable you to drive innovation, optimize processes, and deliver high-quality solutions.

  • As a key member of the Business Applications Software team, you will be driving discussion with key business stakeholders to define and implement the vision
  • You will work closely with internal stakeholders, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions
  • Responsibilities beyond development of software may include participation in project planning, scrum planning, managing cross-functional dependencies and data architecture design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes and buy vs. build recommendations
  • You will also provide input to project plans related to the application development initiatives
  • You will lead major projects/programs providing Veeva subject matter expertise and technical architecture direction for Salesforce ecosystem projects
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Veeva CRM, Vault - PromoMats, Network, Medcomms, Align, MyInsights Studio, and Key Account Management (KAM).
  • Strong background in core Veeva CRM design and architecture - Account Management, Alignment, Cycle Plan, Coaching Report, Sampling, Event Management, Call Planning, Engage, Survey Planning, CLM, Approved Emails, HCP Targeting, and Medical CRM.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions using Veeva and Salesforce platform capabilities.
  • Design, develop, and implement complex Veeva and Salesforce-based solutions, including customization, configuration, and integration with other systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and successful project delivery.
  • Conduct thorough system assessments, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for enhancements or optimizations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, administrators, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Veeva product releases, new features, and industry trends to provide strategic recommendations for system enhancements and improvements.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their technical growth and expertise.
  • Work cross functionally with multiple teams onsite/ offshore with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands on experience with all Veeva module configurations and functionality
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement custom solutions and integrations, leveraging Veeva APIs and other tools.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and administrators, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on the latest Veeva product releases, features, and industry trends to provide recommendations for system enhancements and improvements.
  • Train end-users on Veeva applications, prepare user documentation and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to implement and integrate external systems with Veeva platforms.

Requirements

  • Overall 7+ years of experience, 5+ years of experience as a Techno-Functional Lead on Veeva CRM
  • 5+ years of experience building Veeva CRM utilizing various modules
  • Experience with end to end greenfield 5+ implementations for Veeva CRM
  • Strong Veeva CRM Technical skills and object model, configuration and VMOC familiarity
  • Experience leveraging and configuring Veeva CRM products to develop a solution, experience with Veeva out of box configuration
  • Hands-on experience in designing Veeva CRM various EcoSystem modules
  • Strong technical design and analysis skills
  • Prior experience defining functional solutions and requirements for software projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, communication skills and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree is required preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent years of industry experience
  • Experience with Agile methodology management tools a plus (e.g. Jira)
  • Experience in healthcare environment (HIPAA compliant) is a plus
  • Experience with Veeva platforms, including Veeva CRM, Vault - PromoMats, Network, Medcomms, Align, MyInsights Studi, Medical Affairs modules, and Key Account Management (KAM).
  • Deep understanding of Veeva platform architecture, functionalities, and configuration best practices.
  • Strong experience in Veeva CRM configuration, scripting, and integration using APIs and web services.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex business requirements and propose effective technical and functional solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Veeva certifications, such as Veeva Administrator or Veeva Certified Technical Administrator, are highly desirable
  • Having done migration to Vault CRM or any experience with Valut CRM is a plus
  • Any Veeva/Salesforce certification is a plus

Additional Information

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $170,700 to $230,490. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
