Responsibilities
Hamilton Company is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive sales growth of our Lab Solutions portfolio through our dealer network in Brazil and direct sales to house accounts. This role requires a unique blend of scientific expertise, sales acumen, and strong relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will possess a background in life sciences (molecular biology, chemistry, or related field) and a proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the laboratory equipment or consumables market. This individual will be responsible for managing and developing our dealer network, conducting product demonstrations, and achieving sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dealer Management: Recruit, train, and manage a network of independent dealers across Brazil. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key dealer personnel.
- Sales Execution: Drive sales of LabSolutions products (ML PREP, ML600, handheld pipettes, decappers, consumables, etc.) through the dealer network. Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
- Joint Customer Visits: Accompany dealers on sales calls to provide product expertise, conduct demonstrations, and close deals.
- Direct sales to and management of house accounts i.e. specific key accounts including reference customers, institutions and relationship with industry partners.
- Product Demonstrations: Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations to potential customers, highlighting the value and benefits of Hamilton's solutions.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to dealers and customers, answering questions about product applications and troubleshooting issues.
- Training and Education: Conduct regular training sessions for dealer sales teams on new products, sales techniques, and competitive positioning.
- Sales Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with dealers to develop accurate sales forecasts and annual business plans.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
- Reporting: Regularly monitor dealer sales performance, track progress towards targets, and provide reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) for lead management and sales tracking.
- Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and campaigns that support dealer sales efforts.
- Relationship Management: Continuously nurture and strengthen relationships with dealers through regular communication, training, and support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, particularly in areas related to liquid handling, sample preparation, and automation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese as well as ability to communicate effectively in English, written and verbally.
- Ability to develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, data analysis).
- Willingness to travel frequently within Brazil, 50% of the time.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, with a strong work ethic.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life science field is required.
- Prior experience with Liquid Handlers is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the laboratory equipment or consumables market.
- Proven track record of success in sales, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Experience managing dealer networks is a plus.
- English proficiency is highly desirable.
- Experience with Python programming is a desirable asset.
