Description

Your responsibilities

  • Shift Monitoring - Assisting management and shift team in allocating, coordinating, and overseeing shift orders and work plan execution within production lines during the shift.
  • Organization - Providing regular feedback and makes recommendations to management regarding issues within the production line, including production line organization, shifting priorities and possible critical situations.
  • Helping management implement staff movements in case of vacations, illnesses, machine outages or shifting priorities.
  • Cooperation- Serving as leader during shifts to oversee cooperation and the resolution of technical/quality problems and logistic issues.
  • Metrics Reinforces focus on volume, efficiency and on time delivery.
  • Health & safety Ensures the shift operation is run in compliance with health & safety policies and guidelines.

Background

  • A diploma / B.E in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience as a production supervisor in a large manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in Transformer industry will be added advantage.
  • Fosters a culture where safety is priority and procedures and policies are followed.
  • Coordinate daily production runs to maximize efficiencies.
  • Communicates and cooperates with engineers, maintenance technicians, quality technicians and management to resolve problems relating to safety, quality, equipment or processes.
  • Provides leadership, direction and training to employees as required.
  • Good Communication skills, Planning and Scheduling.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Prefer knowledge of continuous improvement tools/methodologies (FMEA, lean manufacturing, 5S, MTM/TMC, DFM/DFA, Six-Sigma, 4Q, VSM, etc.)
  • Quick learner with interest in and ability to master new technologies.
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi is required.
