Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Delivery Manager with 10+ years of experience to lead our software and data engineering teams in Bangalore. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of software and data engineering projects supporting supply chain and manufacturing functions for our global organization. Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, data engineers, and technical members to deliver software and data engineering projects supporting global operations functions like supply chain and manufacturing.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and managing resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software and data engineering solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and architectural guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, operations, IT, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and service providers, ensuring timely delivery of contracted services and solutions.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to minimize project disruptions and delays.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies, leveraging industry best practices and lessons learned.
  • Provide regular project status updates, reports, and metrics to senior leadership, highlighting key achievements, milestones, and areas for improvement.

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading software and data engineering teams supporting supply chain and manufacturing functions for a global organization.
  • Strong domain expertise in supply chain and manufacturing operations, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, processes, and technologies.
  • Strong domain expertise in life sciences manufacturing equipment, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, processes, and technologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering software and data engineering projects on time and within budget, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams in a global context.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, developing project plans, and managing project budgets and resources.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices, with experience in both monolithic and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • PMP, Agile, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
