The Facilities Sr. Planner will be responsible for construction project and renovation space planning, estimation, scheduling, and resourcing. This person will work closely with consultants and internal stakeholders to create functional

area program, layout, and to coordinate facility infrastructure support needs.

The ideal candidate for this role has proven ability to identify and resolve issues resourcefully and independently, and will work to understand key business drivers, applying this knowledge to decision making.


Responsibilities:

  • Help define project requirements and space planning initiatives related to lab and office renovations and/or new construction
  • Work cross functionally defining and evaluating stakeholder objectives, contemplating solutions to these criteria
  • Meticulously review all specifications, as-builds, equipment's list, codes, etc. to identify and verify building infrastructure needs
  • Understanding of facility space impacts over multiple simultaneous planning and project efforts
  • Communicating and managing these objectives with the architect, engineer, internal project managers, and/or general contractors, throughout the lifecycle of the construction project
  • Developing options for facility renovations and creating reports and presentations on proposals
  • Able to work independently to manage time and perform within required deadlines, managing business and functional priorities
  • Ensuring project planning complies with internal validation and change control requirements
  • Collaborating with internal key stakeholders and managing third-party consultants and vendors
  • Scheduling project review and sign off meetings, reviewing materials and methods of construction

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or other related discipline required is preferred.
  • Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications and the preparation of diagrams, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Must understand principles and practices of construction and contract administration, architectural and engineering disciplines
  • Must work well independently in a highly collaborative environment with minimal direction
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project)
  • Experience with Revit, CAD drafting, and Bluebeam advantageous
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

The estimated base salary range for the Sr. Design and Preconstruction Specialist role based in the United States of America is: $88,200 - $132,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
