Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Manager is a key player within the AMR Marketing team. This individual is responsible for leading and mentoring multiple direct reports within the AMR Regional Marketing team, in addition to overseeing and implementing digital aspects of regional marketing campaigns. They will collaborate closely with Program Managers, Product Marketing, and Customer Segment Marketing to ensure alignment and success of digital outbound content. This leader will serve as the primary point of contact for digital marketing excellence in the region, with a strong emphasis on utilizing metrics to optimize programs and campaigns and proactively communicating those metrics and team achievements to key stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily management of direct reports, including mentoring, coaching, conducting quarterly performance reviews, training/onboarding new team members, resource planning, and organizing team meetings.

  • Provide input on digital strategy to regional segment/programs marketing where relevant.

  • Implement initiative and campaign plans by facilitating the development of digital components of regional campaigns in collaboration with global segment marketing and regional programs managers.

  • Utilize materials produced by internal and external agencies.

  • Adapt content for regional digital initiatives and campaigns as guided by segment marketers, ensuring alignment with global guidelines by consulting across Illumina.

  • Coordinate with regional event planners to integrate digital elements into events.

  • Ensure campaigns align with internal agency governance for measuring agreed-upon metrics.

  • Analyze and monitor team workload and operational metrics to ensure successful campaign deployment.

  • Assist in tracking and analyzing digital program, tactic, and associated marketing funnel metrics for reporting.

  • Ensure digital marketing excellence within the region.

  • Some domestic travel will be required.

Requirements:

  • Previous people management and mentoring experience required.

  • Excellent communications (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills required.

  • Significant marketing communications experience in a highly matrixed corporate marketing department required.

  • Previous experience in email marketing, lead generation, online content development, and audience targeting required.

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Pardot, Marketo, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.

  • Experience in CRM platforms such as Salesforce preferred.

  • Experience with paid search platforms (Google Ads) and self-serve, social buying platforms preferred (Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of project management tools and processes (QUIP, Workfront or similar).

  • Expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, required.

  • Experience building/using data visualization and dashboards in Tableau or Salesforce preferred.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in advertising, marketing, communications or related field with equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in digital marketing, funnel marketing, and/or marketing communications.

  • Minimum 3+ years team leadership/people management experience preferred.

  • Previous Work experience in biotech, life science, or genomics also highly desirable.

The estimated base salary range for the Manager, Digital Experience role based in the United States of America is: $115,800 - $173,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
