As a Senior Field Service Engineer here at Illumina, you will partner with customers to install and maintain all hardware including customer troubleshooting, and complaint resolution. This position serves as an engineering consultant during pre- and post-sales activities and will collaborate with the broader commercial team to maximize sales growth, support instrument uptime, and customer satisfaction.

It is essential to have a valid driving license within Germany with the flexibility to travel up to 80% across the region.

Fluent language skills in both English and German are also essential.

Why You

As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will have experience gained working within an engineering role, ideally within the scientific/medical sector however not essential so long as you have experience working with highly complex and technical equipment.

This role requires troubleshooting, communication, time management, and collaboration skills.

• Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause and suggest variations in approach.

Experience/Education:

• Typically requires considerable related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or some related experience and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
