Summary

As a Sr. Product Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategic initiatives for assigned products or product lines. You will lead efforts to define product direction, ensure competitive differentiation, and drive growth within the market. This role requires strong business acumen, product management expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, including R&D, sales, and manufacturing. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end product lifecycle management, from ideation to market success, ensuring that each product meets the evolving needs of customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement product strategies that align with business goals and customer needs within the Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) field.
  • Utilize customer insights and market research to address pain points, ensuring the product roadmap meets both short- and long-term goals.
  • Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex challenges in the NGS space, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Implement a systemic competitor analysis to understand the competitive landscape
  • Support other product teams in managing existing business operations by acting as the customer’s advocate, fostering consensus among stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive product success and adoption.
  • Effectively communicate complex product strategies and technical details to diverse audiences, providing persuasive guidance and support as needed.
  • Work autonomously, making key decisions with occasional input from leadership, while ensuring strategic alignment and business impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree, preferably within the NGS or a related technical field.
  • Strong background in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) systems is required.
  • Experience in sales operations or manufacturing operations is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to present and influence at the leadership level.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in using data to drive product decisions.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to articulate and communicate product feedback to technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity across the organization.

The estimated base salary range for the Senior Product Manager role based in the United States of America is: $105,600 - $158,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
