Job Summary (Primary function):

The Associate Director/Director, Professional Relations, will lead Key External Expert (KEE) engagement in developing and maintaining relationships with current and future thought leaders. This includes Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and Biologic Coordinators. This role will be responsible for leading KEE Strategy and executing engagement activities and events as part of the brand strategic plan. The PR Director is responsible for increasing the Incyte corporate brand within the specialty of dermatology (and allergy), building and strengthening relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), Speakers, professional societies, and large group networks. The position will be field-based, and responsibilities will be assigned to a specific region. Responsible for compliantly liaising with Medical Affairs, R&D, Market Access, and Sales to communicate market support data consistent with product strategy and messaging.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):

• Develop and execute a comprehensive KEE engagement plan for optimal advocacy conducted through 1:1 field-based meetings, virtual meetings, interactions at state, regional, and national conferences, to establish Incyte as a leading company within the specialty of dermatology.

• Conduct appropriate business discussions with KEEs and key customers related to on-label product information, disease state, and general corporate awareness.

• Assist with the identification, development, and management of Incyte’s speaker bureau, maintaining appropriate and regular communication with speakers to ensure alignment on disease and brand messaging.

• Provide strategic and tactical insights to Product Strategy and other functions to foster alignment throughout the team as it relates to corporate and brand business objectives.

• Identify and establish working relationships with professional organizations within the assigned region to explore initiatives to strengthen corporate perceptions within the dermatology community.

• Plan and execute KEE engagements with senior leadership at regional and national conferences, during field visits, and other venues as directed, in a compliant manner.

• Identify and develop relationships with large group networks within assigned region to develop product and corporate branding opportunities.

• Act as the single field-based point of contact between KEEs and corporate headquarters (e.g. Product Strategy Team). • Participate in advisory boards and provide participant recommendations

• Collaborate with Product Strategy Team members, Sales, and Market Access to ensure KEE needs are addressed in a timely and thorough manner. Compliantly connect KEEs to the appropriate internal stakeholders that are aligned within their respective areas of focus, expertise, or interest.

• Provide timely feedback to cross-functional business partners to ensure a contemporary view of key market trends impacting the business.

• Perform all company business in accordance with all federal/state regulations, company policies and procedures.

• Develop and maintain a high degree of therapeutic area knowledge; becoming an expert for disease areas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred.

• Experience in the dermatology marketplace required.

• 7-15 years of pharma and/or biotech experience in diversified commercial roles including sales, sales leadership, marketing, sales training, operations, and/or market access.

• Ability to foster relationships, build advocacy, negotiate, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong track record of success as demonstrated through annual performance ratings and/or professional accomplishments and awards.

• High energy, creativity, and aptitude for handling multiple tasks concurrently.

• Strong teamwork, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.

• Project Management experience and familiarity with internal Medical, Legal, Regulatory review is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong leadership skills

• Strong technical skills required to develop content and analyze market trends.

• Frequent travel (50-75%+) is required. Position will be responsible for supporting a specified Region.
