IQVIA in partnership with our client, VERASTEM ONCOLOGY, are seeking top notch candidates for the role of Oncology Regional Sales Director. We are partnering to join a fast paced start up launching two new products. This role offers a generous compensation package. Select positions may also be eligible to participate in the client’s equity program. The Oncology Regional Sales Director will be responsible for hiring, developing, and leading their regional team of field Oncology Sales Representatives for our launch of Avutometinib and Defactinib in LGSOC. This role will report to the VP of US Sales and provide exceptional leadership, perform with strategic agility, and display the importance of cross collaboration with all functions of the company that impact sales. The right Regional Director will create a motivating environment by ensuring clarity of purpose and aligning the company’s wider vision and strategic goals to the team’s role and within our compliance framework. This individual will use their highly developed clinical and business acumen along with their knowledge of the industry and marketplace to formulate strategies that identify benefits for customers. They will need to evaluate decisions by considering the interests of the entire organization. They will analyze and interpret data and provide direction that will drive sales performance. An exceptional and consistent record of strong sales leadership and performance is critical for this role. The selected candidate will have the responsibility of leading their respective team, delivering sales results, coaching, and developing their people. They will help build a culture of engagement and commitment to patients, and effectively allocate resources to ensure all goals are exceeded annually and compliantly.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and execute the Verastem commercial strategy by managing a field team and activities to maximize profitable sales growth in a rapidly growing marketplace
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop best in class oncology account managers (selection, performance management, succession planning, development planning, retention planning, etc.)
- Exceed sales targets and deliver results; gather and align the resources necessary for successful achievement of revenue goals
- Execute on processes to regularly monitor and track sales performance and progress, including budgets/resources, sales activities, analytical platforms, and expenses
- Work regularly with direct reports to develop and enhance sales effectiveness and leadership skills
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key commercial stakeholders in the ovarian cancer disease space
- Establish and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with cross-functional groups
- Implement company's commercial field training, marketing strategies and tactics and hold teams accountable for pull-through
- Act as a conduit for relevant market information from local field-based employees to home office management, as well as appropriate recommendations
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of commercial activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
- 7 years commercial Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience, with an exceptional and consistent record of strong sales leadership and performance required
- Minimum of 3 years of Pharmaceutical Sales Management experience required
- Minimum of 3 years Oncology and/or Rare Disease required
- Women’s Health or GYN/Oncology experience strongly preferred
- Oral drug experience preferred
- Previous President’s club award winners strongly preferred
- Previous experience with a US product launch in a start up environment is highly desirable
- Strong leadership, planning & organization, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Hands on and demonstrated ability to lead and encourage a group towards meeting and exceeding objectives
- Experienced at successfully leading cross-functional teams and influencing with or without authority
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills in both a live and virtual setting
- Ability to travel 75%
- Credentialing as required by offices and institutions
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

The potential base pay range for this role is $220,000 - $260,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
