Just-Evotec Biologics, is seeking a motivated and creative Scientist who desires a significant opportunity to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics. In this position, you will work with a multidisciplinary team for the analytical and functional biocharacterization of large molecule therapeutics. Experience with immunoassays, biolayer interferometry, and/or potency methods is required. Additionally experience with high-throughput methods and liquid handling is beneficial. The successful candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills and is interested in ways to improve technology. The ability to multitask and to work both independently and in teams in a fast-paced collaborative environment is necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Development, implementation, and qualification of immunoassays, kinetic binding assays (BLI), and potency methods for early and late-phase programs
  • Lead technical transfer of release methods to QC group
  • Author technical documents including analytical methods, SOPs, qualification protocols, and reports
  • Present scientific data to analytical department, cross-functional teams, and clients
  • Mentoring/training new team members
  • Responsible for general lab tasks including equipment maintenance and ordering lab supplies

Education Requirements:

  • PhD with 0-5 years of experience OR BS in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering, Chemistry or related field and 5+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Immunoassay, bioassay, and BLI or SPR experience
  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Use of liquid-handling automation applications
  • Experience with method qualification and transfer
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $80,000 to $100,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
