Job Description

Team Lead Calibration within Maintenance department

As a Calibration Team Lead, you are responsible for the calibration and support maintenance of facilities, mechanical installations, and related equipment. In this role, you oversee the calibration of building-related equipment, process equipment for our internal stakeholders and manage a team of calibration technicians. You will support our new innovative cell therapy facility in the Amsterdam region, which includes general laboratories and production areas for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

About Kite

Kite is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative immunotherapies for cancer. The goal is to provide rapid, durable long-term responses and reduce the burden of chronic care. Kite targets immune system cells that detect diseases and viruses (chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) and T-cell receptor (TCR)). Kite aims to recognize, kill, and strengthen these cells.

In Europe, Kite recruits talent to support the development of the European region. We are building a state-of-the-art facility in Hoofddorp. Currently, we are looking for motivated talent for various positions to support our innovative cancer immunotherapy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the calibration of installations and equipment for the pharmaceutical site.
  • Support the repair and maintenance of installations and equipment for the pharmaceutical site as needed.
  • Create short-term work plans, manage technicians, and allocate daily tasks.
  • Provide service to our internal customers such as production, laboratories, and offices.
  • Encourage employee development.
  • Assess employee performance.
  • Document performed activities according to cGMP guidelines.
  • Support the development of guidelines and standards within KITE Hoofddorp.
  • Capable of being on call for troubleshooting services.
  • Support or be our representative for internal/external audits on calibration.

Skills:

  • Leading and coaching people.
  • Technical/Calibration expertise within the pharmaceutical or food industry.
  • Ability to analyze and develop solutions for (complex) problems.
  • Optimizing calibration process and performance based on analyses.
  • Writing/Reviewing new - or improving Policies, SOP’s or work instructions.
  • Communicate effectively at various levels within and outside the department.
  • Experience in executing and setting up improvement projects.
  • Project lead for various projects.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Requires an MBO4 diploma with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • cGMP experience required.
  • Experience with calibrations in the pharmaceutical- or technical industry is a plus.
  • RvA accreditation - or ISO:17025 know-how is a plus.
  • Possession of a VCA Vol certificate (or willing to obtain it shortly).
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • You are both result driven and service oriented.
  • You can work both independently and in a team.
